The Beach Coach...

My name is Tricia Bard, & I'm a Beach Coach... I enjoy living at the beach and working in my flip flops (those darned high heels are just too uncomfortable with sand in them!)... I come and go as I please. I invite my own money to myself. I get paid for thinking, and I think abundantly. I get paid for making a difference... I help others break-free from ordinary and break-through to extraordinary... Perhaps I can be of service to you as well...

I have been procrastinating...

I have been procrastinating starting this blog for at least the past month. Ever since Erin said, “Momma, you guys should start a Blog”.

Well, something happened recently that compelled me to sit down and start blogging. I received an e-mail from two networkers that brought back some sinking feeling memories. They were letting me know about the shut-down by the Texas Attorney General of the Bio-Performance company (the little Green Pill that supposedly increases gas mileage). My heart goes out to these guys. This dose of disappointment coulda’ been mine again.

I had been prospected by them, and numerous other Bio reps (some who are very good friends), as well as the other new hot gas deals out there. Having been through the Seasilver fiasco (they were shut down for a period of time by the FTC/FDA for making medical claims), I was very skeptical to say the least. The biggest thing about Bio that caught my eye was all the hype. In my mind, red flags were popping up everywhere with regards to the viability of this opportunity. I just kept saying NO.

When you're flocking to the 'latest greatest hottest deal' in pursuit of quick money, your reputation gets tarnished, and it just simply gives the industry another black eye. I really hate to see this happen. I understand the draw of the 'excitement' and the lure of quick money... it causes you to ignore management background and ethics, lack of product efficacy (or proof that there is any), and a host of other red flags... Or maybe these red flags are harder to see when you’ve got two black eyes…… Enough on that. Good luck to those guys. I hope they find a company that they can call home.

On another note (pun intended), anyone want a tip on a really great CD? Check out “Blackmore’s Night”. Bill came across this group on PBS one evening, and went on line to find out more about them. It’s sort of a Renaissance/folk/ rock mixture. He bought their album on eBay, 'Ghost of a Rose', and I have to say it’s really catchy stuff. You can listen to some of their music on their site. If you do, let me know what you think.

Well so far, this Blogging seems like it can be a cool way to just share everyday life stuff. I’m hoping to keep it light, fun, and become a venue to share these everyday life stuff things with ya’ll.

In fact, Bill and I are going on a “date” to the movies this weekend. Those who know us know we don’t get out much, so this is a big thing. I caught a writeup in the paper about a movie called “Hoot”. It was written by Carl Hiassen, and we think he is a hoot! He creates the most bizarre characters in his books. I’m sure I’ve read them all by now. And Jimmy Buffett is in it. I’ll let you know next week what we think.

That’s enough blogging for now. Wadda’ ya think?

I promise not to get caught up on just any one thing. Hope you’ll add this site to your favorites, check in often, and feel free to add your comments.

Thanks for visiting today.
